On the 4th of July, Dad made some bacon-wrapped jalapeno chicken nuggets. Because he seeded the fresh jalapenos with his bare hands, he had to wear his winter gloves when he held Walker. Walker didn't seem to mind, though.
That morning, the whole family went down to the neighborhood parade. We saw fire engines, classic cars, antique tractors, and lots of kids with their bikes decorated for the holiday.
There was even a pony all dressed up for the occasion that came over to sniff out Walker.
Walker enjoyed it all.
After the parade, we got to sit in the fire engine. Walker (and Dad) especially liked checking out all of the gauges and controls for the pumper.
That night, we all went to Taylor to celebrate the 4th of July. Unfortunately, Mom and Dad forgot to take photos, and the only one we got was one of Walker hanging out on a blanket with Asher. Walker's great-great aunt Pat made the red blanket, and it was the perfect backdrop for the 4th of July photo shoot!
How cool y'all had a parade in your own neighborhood!! Looks like y'all had a wonderful time...maybe next year y'all can be in the parade pulling Walker in a little red wagon! ;-) Glad y'all had such a great (and seemingly relaxing) 4th of July...We danced the day away at Joyce's Wedding. No fireworks, but there were belly dancers...maybe not your typical "4th" but we had fun!!! Love y'all...Nat
