No Training Wheels!

This weekend, our family went to the Fort Worth Fat Tire Festival.  Walker saw lots of people riding their bikes, and he decided that he was ready for us to take the training wheels off his bike.  I love this video, because the first couple of minutes show his frustration and nearly giving up, but he keeps trying and within a few minutes he's riding like a pro.  I'm so proud of his determination!  I also like the way that he is very courteous around other people, making sure that he doesn't run into anyone.

For the record, he asked me not to push him or hold onto his seat.  He wanted to do all of this on his own.

Also, look for the quick cameo by Uncle Tio and Samantha at around 3:10, and listen to the crowd cheering for him at 3:23.

Spanish Schoolhouse Show

Here's the video of Walker and Findley's end-of-the-year show.  It's amazing to see how much they've grown over the past year... Walker is very serious about his dancing, and Findley is great at showing the other kids where to go.

Happy Birthday Walker!

Mama made a special birthday breakfast for Walker this morning.  It's really hard for us to believe that it's already been a half-decade since you were born, Walker.  You are growing up so fast and we're so proud of you.  You're smart, kind, and creative.  We love you!

Monkey Bars

Here's a video of Walker going all the way across the big monkey bars for the first time. He had complete confidence that he could do it; he didn't even want me to stand nearby to spot him.

Touch the Tree

Anyone who knows Findley knows that she loves to swing.  Recently she's gotten more brave and wants to go as high as we can push her.  She can now go as high as Walker and touch the tree with her feet.

Brain Shields

Mama:  Walker, and Findley, thank you for helping me clean up the play room.  Next time, please put the toys away when you're done playing with them.

Walker:  Mom, I try to tell my brain to do that, but my brain puts up shields that block those messages.
