Today was Walker's first day at daycare. Dad had to go out of town for work, so Mom had to drop him off by herself. He's not used to being up and going so early in the morning, so he was pretty tired when he got there.
Miss Terry was happy to see Walker, and he was happy to see her too, because like Will Rogers, Walker has never met a (wo)man that he didn't like.
Soon he was bouncing in the jumper and playing with all the toys.
Overall, it was a pretty good day. Miss Terry reported that Walker was somewhat fussy during the morning because he didn't want to take a nap. He never seems to want to take naps, which is strange considering that his parents are world-class nappers. The napping gene must be skipping a generation. He did better in the afternoon, and was super happy to see mom when she came to pick him up.
I LOVE the pics of Walker on his first day at Day Care in his adorable outfit. He looks so sleepy in the first ones and gets happier and happier as time goes by. I know this afternoon he was really, really happy to see his Mom and his Mom was really, really, really happy to see him. Thanks for sharing -- please keep it up!!!

QUE BELLO!!!!! I wanted to cry just thinking of him going to his first day of Day Care (I'm sure that sensation has nothing to do with the fact that I am more than 8 months prego.)... but it looks like he is in great hands and has lots of great toys to keep him engaged!!! Yep, that napping gene is super strong in this generation...I am praying H.D. gets his sleeping habits from his Momma!!!
ReplyDeleteYou guys are just precious! I love the pictures and the Will Rogers quote. Leann, you are a super mom! You did have a good role model. Natalie, pay attention!!
