Enjoying the Outdoors

We had a really mild spring this year, and we spent a lot of time outside. In May, we spent a weekend with friends at their country house.

Walker caught his first fish (along with some algae):

We also rode 4-wheelers (I'm so sad that I didn't get a photo of Findley riding with me... I will remember next time!)

Jamming

We love going to our friend Henry's house, because he always has some awesome musical instruments.  Here he is jamming on a homemade banjo while Findley tickles the keys.

Recent Photos

So yeah, we still have a huge backlog of photos and videos to post, but we thought it would be fun to post a couple of photos that we took today. It's amazing to us how big these two are getting. They're both really neat kids and we love watching them develop.

It's not often that they both agree to let us take their photos, so we had to take advantage today. I also wanted to get shots of the awesome superhero capes that Mama made for them.

Comic Book Characters

The kids are obsessed with superheroes right now. Here are a couple of recent characters they've played.

Little Doggy

Findley loves to pretend. Here she is pretending to be a doggy. I'm pretty sure that's not a real dog biscuit.

Mother's Day Photo

For the first time ever, we got a really nice photo of the kids with Mama on Mother's Day. I love this shot.

Camping

A few weeks ago, we went camping for a couple of days.  The weather was nice and cool, and we had a great time in the outdoors with friends.

We went on a walk, which required us to climb over a fence (don't worry, we were allowed to do this).  Climbing the fence was probably Walker's favorite part of the walk.

In fact, the boy was not interested in walking much farther than the fence (see him way in the background?)

So Mama and Findley went walking way up the hill.

Later, Walker fit right in as we sat around the campfire.

Cruising

Walker and Findley love getting rides from Pa Gator!

Little Helper

Walker loves to help around the house. Here he is "sweeping" the front sidewalk.

We tried to get the cousins to jump in the water at the same time. This is the closest we could get.
