After introducing Walker to Findley for a few minutes, he was excited to point out her nose and try to jam his finger into her eyes. He quickly understood that he needed to be gentle, and when Leann asked Walker to give Findley a kiss, he leaned over and kissed her cheek. I think it's fair to say that our hearts melted.

He was happy to do it a couple of more times for the camera.

He's going to be a great big brother!

Findley's First Video

This morning, about 11 hours after Findley's birth, she and I sat quietly for a while and got to know each other. She has a remarkably calm demeanor, and is obviously a laid back and happy kiddo. I recorded a little of our time together to share with everyone.

With Granny and Granddaddy

Last weekend, Granny and Granddaddy came to visit. Walker had a great time playing and singing with them. Here he is on the swing enjoying the evening breeze.

We had dinner at El Fenix on Friday night, and Walker enjoyed talking to the little boy he met on the other side of the mirror.

A cool front came through yesterday, so Walker was able to play outside and get really dirty this morning. Even though the cover was on his sandbox, it still got filled up in the rain.

Welcome Back, Marmee!

Marmee came back last night from a two-and-a-half month trip to Honduras. Walker sure was happy to see her!
